“Conformity breeds mediocrity.” -Deepak Chopra

The subjects of these seven films refuse to accept the status quo, and instead carve out their own destiny. The stars of these shorts reject aggressive and draconian policing (“Kettle”), the assumption that dumpster diving is disgusting (“Never Pay for Food Again in NYC”), New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s lip service about Hurricane Sandy survivors (“Two Years”), our culture’s insistence on clothing (“Naked Lake”), the belief that MDMA has no therapeutic value (“Psychedelic Soldiers”), and the assumption in Laos that elephants should be enslaved for hard labor (“Gardeners of the Forest”).
