Shorts Package: On a Wing and a Prayer

Before Walt Disney, there was a trailblazing woman at the vanguard of animation. In Lotte that Silhouette Girl, Lotte Reiniger was a tour de force of creativity and innovation who is finally getting her due: she invented the multiplane camera and created the oldest surviving animated feature. With Ranapakhara In a community center in Dubai, Indian classical dancer Vonita Singh applies her art form to bring back movement in the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s. While Out of the Shadows, soars with a theatre class at California State University, Long Beach, as it creates a play to tell the stories of undocumented immigrants. In Anyone Like Me, hard of hearing football coach and Denver, native Shelby Bean found his identity as a member of the world’s only Deaf collegiate football team, the Gallaudet University Bison in Washington, DC.
